The ELBA Graduate Local Employment Scheme (EaGLES) was created in 2005, to address the high unemployment and underemployment levels in east London, with a particular focus on east London, Islington and Haringey Boroughs (Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Greenwich, Waltham Forest, Barking & Dagenham, Haringey, Islington and Redbridge).
The carefully selected candidates undergo three weeks of intensive training at ELBA followed by a six-month paid work placement at a prestigious company in the City or Canary Wharf. These companies benefit from having a job-ready trainee with a detailed understanding of the needs of east London that adds value to CSR programmes and local recruitment strategies. This experience results in the graduates becoming highly employable, in fact 96% of those who successfully completed the scheme have gone on to find permanent employment.

We are currently recruiting for two EaGLES programmes.
