One East London

One East London is a flagship ELBA programme building sustainable partnerships between businesses, the public sector and local communities to ensure that Stratford City is built as a sustainable community within East London.
Employability

Thousands of new jobs are coming to Stratford City and local residents need to be trained and ready to take up employment. By harnessing the skills and expertise of business volunteers, we are working with partners to improve the job readiness of local people.
Broadridge staff hosted a CV session and office tour for a group of young women from the Somali Integration Team in Tower Hamlets. Senior staff from HR worked one-to-one with the young women to perfect their CVs. One of the participants commented at the end of the session “it’s interesting to see what it’s actually like working in an office.”
A group of Accenture employees travelled to Stratford to run a CV skills surgery with young learners from Landmark Training, an organisation that offers work-based training for 14 to 24 year olds. “I enjoyed the session...I believe most learners felt the same and am grateful to have taken part.”
Stratford resident Reiss Sinclair has just taken up a position at London City Airport through the “Take Off into Work” joint initiative between London City Airport and Workplace,.
