Just one hour a month

We have a great range of opportunities for volunteers who wish to provide mentoring support to service users who need that added bit of motivation and direction. You could provide extremely valuable support to:
1) East London university students and graduates who wish to enter the financial services sector;
2) Young people who are not in education, employment or training;
3) People who have recently started work and who need that extra support as they get used to their new working life.The aim is for the mentee to have someone to guide them as they take their next steps. For those looking for work this could involve interview practice, presentation skills or general advice on job search; for those who are in work this could be guidance on issues they may have in their job or an objective point of view as they transition from worklessness to employment. ELBA would set up the mentoring partnership with you and a mentee, agreeing an action plan and overall objectives. You would meet the your mentee once a month at your offices, or if they are working, you could support them with regular phonecalls and occasional lunch time meetings instead.
