Theatre Centre

Theatre Centre produces and tours new writing, developing the next generation of writers and artists working for and with young people. It invests in the development of new ideas and collaborations to create theatre which is pioneering and punches far above its weight.

The organisation has been in existence for nearly 60 years and is lauded, nationally, for the work it has done over that time to bring high quality work and the magic theatre to a new audiences who will keep theatre and innovation within the craft alive.

The board has just undergone its biennial away day and review, and is now looking for gaps in regard to a skills audit. The Board is very stable and those who have been involved, in the past, are still heavily engaged with the work of the Theatre Centre.

As the Board develops further, Theatre Centre is looking to recruit one to two new members who can bring support for the areas of business planning, marketing and strategic development.

Your commitment:

• Board members should have a strong interest in theatre and/or the arts and the development of young people

• Be willing to commit to three board meetings a year and one AGM

• One biennial Away-Day

• See new work (evenings or weekends), no more than four times a year

• Attend the Brian Way and Adrienne Benham Awards evening event.
