Leadership Challenge

40 student leaders from Rokeby School and 20 senior leaders from investment management company Man Group, braved the freezing cold to practise their leadership and team work skills. The afternoon at Outdoors in the City in Newham, followed a morning conference on leadership designed by the Man Group staff for the students. This formed part of Man Group’s internal Leadership Programme which contains elements of making a difference in the community. The night before the conference, Rokeby's Head Teacher, Charlotte Robinson, briefed all of the business volunteers and laid down the challenge for them to design an interactive Leadership Conference for 40 students aged from 11- 15. The activity and theme was an excellent match as leadership is one of the top attributes that the school focuses on for their students and is itself an example of model leadership.
