In November 2011, ELBA was successful in its proposal to the new L&Q (London & Quadrant) Foundation, to extend Project Boost. Working with L&Q residents in the six host boroughs, Project Boost will deliver a package of interventions including one-day training sessions delivered by reputable London businesses, sector-specific training schemes and access to a variety of job opportunities for residents.

ELBA was invited to take part in a video by L&Q to showcase some of the great work it has done with them so far. One of the earlier participants in project Boost was Justin Hughes who, after two weeks training with ELBA and a successful interview, went on to a four week placement with international audio-visual company Electrosonic which resulted in a full-time job.

When asked if he was enjoying his new role Justin said: “I love it with a passion. Anyone trying to get back into work, I recommend that you go through ELBA. I highly recommend it!”
