CALL FOR RUNNERS AND VOLUNTEERS FOR THE BRITISH 10K RACE IN LONDON - 8 JULY 2012

The British 10K London Run is the UK's most prestigious and sought-after 10km road race which is staged on the world's greatest route through the heart of central London. 25,000 runners fill the streets of the nation's capital and get the unique chance to run past many of the country's greatest landmarks including Big Ben, The London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey. Abilities range from charity fundraisers and recreational runners, right through to Olympic champions - almost anyone can run (or walk) 10k!

Whitechapel Gallery Traineeships

The Heritage Lottery Fund's Skills for the Future programme is supporting heritage organisations across the UK to create new training places. Located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the Whitechapel Gallery is now in its second year of running a 2-year project offering training and work placements to 12 young people using a dedicated grant. Trainees learn a range of accredited cultural heritage skills within the gallery itself including conservation and research skills, digital technology training and community engagement through work-based learning. The Gallery, which first opened its doors in 1901 presents a wealth of modern and contemporary art giving the trainees excellent hands-on experience in the museums and arts sector.
