These are exciting times for East London. The advent of the 2012 Games, the massive regeneration of Stratford City, the plans for Crossrail and improved transport links are making east London a force to be reckoned with. The City is moving east. Despite this, there are still real social challenges and businesses and communities need to work together to tackle this.

ELBA is organising a series of Insight Visits for business leaders to explore the opportunities and challenges facing east London, visiting some of the great regeneration sites and meeting inspirational community leaders.  The visits will be half day, guided tours of communities where you will get a chance to meet other business leaders and discover how businesses can work with communities to help make a difference.

One East London

Date: 8th July 2010; 9.30am – 12.30

Venue: Stratford for the Olympic Park

Details: The One East London Tour will start off with a guided tour of the Olympic site followed by visits to some of our key community organisations right on the edge of the Olympic Park and Stratford City. The tour will culminate with a visit to The View, a penthouse conference facility commanding extraordinary views over the Olympic Park and to the City beyond. Discussions will focus on the massive regeneration of East London and how we can capture lasting benefits for the wider community.
