Outstanding Achievement

In the course of each year, we come across thousands of incredibly talented, generous employee volunteers who, with the support of their businesses, are committed to making a positive difference to the lives of those living in East London. Laura-Louise White is one such volunteer and we’re delighted to award Laura-Louise Outstanding Achievement Award 2009.

As well as Shoreditch Games, Laura-Louise organises year round community activities for her department.  She supports pupils from Hackney schools, works one-on-one with pupils from the Bridge Academy and this year will be distributing Christmas hampers to residents in Hackney. As a volunteering champion Laura-Louise recruits over 220 UBS employee volunteers each year and has been inspirational in raising the next generation of volunteers, helping maintain the bank’s fabulous percentage of employees volunteering throughout the recession.
